back to picture diary
I went back to what I call South America

though it was more the Middle:

Guatemala, picked

in a random rush of mind

to reset,

to find a thinking rock to rethink,

to recover the factured bits

of my personal odds and ends.

Soaked in a rainforest flood

I found an old idiot in myself

and some giggling women.

Familiar as they were

I wanted something else to be reborn

something more serious.

Carried by my patched up life

amongst fears and poverty

and beauty of unnatural sort

of natur resorts

I walked as a tourist again in my own life.

Though everything is the same there, McDonalds,

it is oddly unfamiliar like that church in a market.

I spent some days at the Lake Atitlan

wathcing my eyes out but very much alone

fishing for a new heart

for new shadows and new lights.

I went back to what I call South America
